Shipping Policy
Effective July 2026 — Subject to periodic review
komoatelier.studio
01. Overview
All KOMO ATELIER objects are dispatched from our fulfilment warehouse in Wuhan, China, via a dedicated international freight partner operating under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms. This means all customs duties, import taxes, and VAT applicable to your order are included in the price you pay at checkout. You will never receive a surprise charge at the door.
KOMO operates under DDP (Incoterm 2020) for all EU shipments. As the importer of record, our logistics partner clears customs on your behalf and is responsible for all associated fees prior to delivery.
02. Where We Ship
We currently ship to all member states of the European Union, with primary focus on France and the Netherlands. We do not currently ship outside the EU.
If you are located outside the EU and wish to enquire about availability, please write to hello@komoatelier.studio.
03. Shipping Costs
Standard Orders
— Orders under €150: shipping calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
— Orders of €150 or more: complimentary shipping included.
The complimentary shipping threshold applies to the final order value after any adjustments, before currency conversion.
Packaging
Each KOMO object is wrapped in natural tissue, placed in a rigid protective box, and sealed with kraft paper. Fragile stone and ceramic pieces are individually padded to withstand international transit.
Packaging is designed to be minimal, reusable, and unbranded externally for discretion.
04. Delivery Times
From the moment your order is dispatched, standard delivery to France and Benelux takes between 8 and 14 business days. Delivery to other EU member states may take up to 18 business days. These timescales reflect international freight routing and customs clearance, both of which are handled by our logistics partner prior to final delivery.
Delivery estimates begin from the date of dispatch, not from the date of order. Orders are typically dispatched within 2–3 business days of confirmation. During periods of high demand or public holidays in China or the EU, transit may be extended by 3–5 additional business days.
You will receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order has been dispatched.
05. Duties, Taxes & VAT
EU Orders — VAT Included
KOMO ATELIER is registered under the EU Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme. VAT applicable to your order is collected at the point of sale and remitted directly to the relevant EU tax authority. You will not be charged VAT separately upon delivery.
Customs Duties — Included Under DDP
As of July 2026, the EU eliminated the de minimis duty exemption (previously €150) for goods imported from outside the EU. All orders are now subject to applicable import duty based on their HS classification. Under our DDP arrangement, these duties are pre-paid by our logistics partner and absorbed into the landed cost of your order. No additional payment is required from you at delivery.
Applicable HS codes include: 6802.xx (worked travertine and stone objects) and 6913.xx (ceramic ornamental articles). Duty rates vary by product and country of destination.
06. Product Compliance
GPSR — General Product Safety Regulation
All KOMO ATELIER products comply with EU Regulation 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR). Our EU Responsible Person, appointed in accordance with Article 4 of the GPSR, can be reached at hello@komoatelier.studio for any safety-related enquiries. Product safety documentation is available upon written request.

In compliance with EU Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation — ESPR), KOMO ATELIER will implement Digital Product Passports (DPP) for all applicable product categories from November 2026 onwards.
Each object will carry a unique QR code linking to its Digital Product Passport, which will contain:
